Video: Emerging Technology and the Electrical Grid
The U.S electrical grid is changing. Caren Anders, vice president of emerging technologies for Duke Energy, discusses the future of the grid and how it is becoming an interactive, two-way system, evolving from a system of simply transmission and distribution. A number of emerging technologies such as renewable energy, energy storage, and others are affecting the grid’s design and utilities must change the way the grid is managed.
This interview was recorded at ASME’s 2015 Power & Energy Conference and Exhibition.
